Placing or approving an order

Tender Edge requires full payment when an order is placed. Once an order has been placed or approved, your credit card will be immediately debited. Please do not place an order if you do not agree. If you decide to cancel your order a cancellation fee may be applicable. Please see section on Cancellation of an order.  Tender Edge is not obliged to attend to any changes or variations to the goods unless agreed in writing by both parties. PLEASE FOLLOW OUR GUIDELINES ON ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF HOW TO SETUP A GRAPHIC FILE AND TO AVOID PRINTING ISSUES PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED WITH THE ORDER. USE A PROFESSIONAL GRAPHIC DESIGNER TO SETUP THE ARTWORK FOR COMMERCIAL PRINTING. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT COLOUR OUTCOME AND ACTUAL IMAGE SIZE PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE TO DISCUSS YOUR REQUIREMENTS. ACCEPTANCE OF A DIGITAL PROOF IS YOUR CONTRACT WITH TENDER EDGE THAT YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE ORDER. IT IS UP TO YOU TO DOUBLE CHECK SPELLING, SIZING AND COLOUR.

Proofs

A proof allows you to check your job for any errors in the images and text. When we send you a proof, please check our Artwork Specifications page to check off any potential errors. You agreeing with  your proof is your contract with us that you agree with what is to be printed.

If you choose to receive a proof of your job, please be aware that:

  • It takes up to one business day to create a PDF proof and E-mail it to you;
  • It takes between two and three days to create a hard copy proof, and then even longer before you receive it through the mail (it may be weeks in remote parts of the world); and
  • The Production Speed time clock will NOT start ticking until you have received your proof, checked it, and then approved it for us to print.

Digital Proofs

A PDF version of your work can be emailed to you to check as much as possible what your final print will look like.  It is much easier and more accurate to check printed copy than copy on screen, so you can and should print out your PDF proof rather than check it on the screen. However your colour printer and our press may, and probably will, print colours differently, so you CANNOT depend on your colour print of our PDF proof as a 100% accurate representation of the colours that will result when we print your job. So, if you want to ensure that your finished product is printed exactly the way that you want it printed, with the exact colour matches, then you should request a hard-copy proof.

How to Check your PDF Proof

  • You have printed out your PDF file and checked it thoroughly for mistakes and errors; and
  • Your PDF file meets our printing requirements:
    • You have high resolution images (at least 300dpi);
    • All images have been converted from RGB to CMYK;
    • You have converted all the fonts in the job to curves or outlines; and
    • Bleeds and crop-marks have been put in the correct place (if required).

Hard Copy Proofs

Hard Copy Proofs are only available on certain items and are so marked on the particular product page.

Once an order has been placed it cannot be cancelled under any way circumstances without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellation or alteration order fee is 10% of the value of the print job. Minimum fee will be $50 + GST plus any costs on graphic design/plates/proofs if applicable.
